The « Yard of Miracle » in the French Literature, was a guild of rogues, thieves, beggars etc... in the middle-age. They were supposed to have a chief who was called King of the Rogue and was elected .

The « Cour des Miracles » has been created to allow rogues and ordinary people to defend them self against people from the Nobility, the Clergy and the upper Bourgeoisie. It gathers mainly people from the lower class, the dregs of society , or people from upper class but who do not accept the aristocratic organization of regular guilds.

We can, then find in the « Cour des Miracles » thieves, assassins, beggars, sorcerers, mercenaries, artists, swindlers, sorcerers....There are also people from the upper class (clergy, Aristocracy and Upper Bourgeoisie) who disagree with strict and aristocratic rules from other guilds.

RULES

ROI DES GUEUX : King Of Rogue

Been an ordinary people's guild, there cannot be any King or Chief for ever. The King Of Rogue is elected for a period of two months. He can be elected only three times, one after the other. If the same player run three following mandates, he wont be allowed to run for a fourth mandate. He will have to wait for at least one mandate..

BUILDINGS
Members of the guild are not allowed to own a building (such as a house or a castle). Been an association of people of the lower class, it would be absurd if they owned a house on their own. If the members are not allowed to own a building, the « Cour des Miracles » is allowed. There is an exception to this rule, for second rank members of the rules (but these for second rank members wont have the same right than first rank members).

FIRST RANK AND SECOND RANK MEMBERS
There are two kinds of members : members of first and second rank.

1) First Rank members are not allowed to own buildings. They benefit from all advantages of the guild and can participate to the « Roi des Gueux » election. They can run for a « Roi des Gueux » mandate.
2) Second Rank Members : They can own buildings but are not allowed to participate to the « Roi des Gueux » election. They can even stay anonymous, if they ask to (for example : case of « Cour des Miracles » members infiltrating other guilds).
A second rank member can ask to become first rank member, but will have to get rid of his buildings. First rank
members can also ask to become second rank member.

QUARTIERS (Districts)
The « Cour des Miracles » is organized in districts : thieves' district, mercenary districts........ Any first rank member can found his own district with the rules he wants. These rules must be in accordance with the general rules of the « Cour des Miracles ».
1) For people not willing to join a specific district, a « Freeman District » will be created. They will only report to the « Roi des Gueux » or to the « Freeman Minister », chosen by him. No specific rules are applied to this district.
2) A District for second rank members is created and will be called « Shadow District ». Second rank members will report only to the « Roi des Gueux » or to the « Shadow Minister », chosen by him. Anonymous members of the guild will be known only by the « Roi des Gueux » or the « Shadow Minister ». The second rank members wont be allowed to call for the « Court of Justice », but will have to submit them self to the « Roi des Gueux » and « Shadow Minister » decisions.
